Nonnie's Ark

I knew Jaelyn loved animals so we took her to Nonnie's Ark at the Library. They were allowed to touch all the animals except for some kind of Parrot. They had a chinchilla?, Madagascar Cockroach(hissing), turtle, frog, tarantula, and a snake.
Well Jaelyn touched everyone of them. She does not take after her momma!!

Cayson's Dr. Appt.

Cayson went to the dr. on Monday. I know everyone is wondering just how big my "Big Boy" is. Well first of all, he's very healthy, and he's doing everything that a 6 month old is suppose too.
Alright, here ya go!

22.6 lbs and 28 1/2 inches long.

I looked it up and Jaelyn at 6 months was only 20.8 lbs and 26 1/4 inches long. Crazy, I know!

Bird Feeders

It was bird feeder day and Jaelyn couldn't wait. I could, though. I saw ice cream cones, peanut butter, cheerios, and bird seed. Can you believe they put this in front of a 3 year old. At least it was not all at once. "We" started out putting the peanut butter on the ice cream cone. Thank goodness she let me help with this one. Then "she" put the cheerios on the peanut butter. She was very good at this one. Then we rolled it in bird seed. That was kind of fun. And that was it. I thought it was going to be a lot worse with what I saw, but it was a lot of fun.

Bowling with the Playgroup

Jaelyn loves to go bowling. So when she found out that Playgroup was going bowling, she was ready to go that second. Too bad it wasn't until the next day. (I've learned NOT to tell Jaelyn something until the very last minute or the day before. She'll drive you crazy asking all these questions!!) When we've taken her before she's never been able to wear their nasty bowling shoes, which I didn't mind at all. This time of course her foot had grown so she got to wear some. The smallest is an 8 and she wears a 7 1/2 so it worked out great. We get her shoes and they were way too big. I knew we were going to have a meltdown since Baylee and Brynlee had bowling shoes on. I took them back up there and he said these are boy shoes. They had one more pair of girls. I was so nervous about a meltdown. She finally got to bowl and everything went great after that. Her final score was an 87. Not bad, huh?

July 4th

I believe Jaelyn loves July 4th just as much as Christmas. Jaelyn also loves that our family wears the flag shirts from Old Navy. Even Baby Cayson had one (as Jaelyn would say). She gets so excited about the fireworks. When she got up that morning at 7:00, she started asking about the fireworks. Trying to explain that the fireworks wouldn't start until Mr. Moon came out, started to get VERY old. She kept on saying that they were going to get cancelled if we didn't go now. Yes, I think cancelled is her favorite word at the moment. We had a get together at Grammy's and Papa's (Jason's parents) and then we went to Tyler's house and watched the fireworks on Okaloosa Island.

On Saturday, it was my families turn to have their get together. We had it at the camp. Jaelyn loves the camp. It was very hot and so Jaelyn took it upon her self to get cooled off. She found a bottle of water and poured it on her head. So that started it and so her cousins (Nathan and Ashley) joined in. They had so much fun. Just look at their faces.

Playgroup at Chuck E. Cheese's

Jaelyn and all of her friends went to see Firehouse Dog at the Rave in Pensacola about 2 weeks ago. I made her sit with me and not with the rest of the gang we went with. I think I made the right decision. Jaelyn did so good. She enjoyed the movie so much. Well after the movie it was Chuck E. Cheese time. Jaelyn has never been there before b/c it's in P-cola and we don't go there just for the heck of it. Plus when I was younger, the one in Ft. Walton was just plain nasty. I was kind of nervous when I walked in, but it was clean and nice. Jaelyn played for a little bit until our pizza got there and all the other kids didn't want to come and eat. Jaelyn likes to eat and eat healthy. I had a salad and she wanted my salad and not the pizza. We were splitting a pizza with Miriama and Jessica so all their kids were eating pizza by this time and so finally after giving Jaelyn salad, she went over and ate some pizza. Then she went and got to play. Her favorite was riding the horse and basketball. That's what she spent most of her tokens on. Well here's some pics of her.

Jaelyn's Enrichment Program

Jaelyn has so much fun at the park. These pictures are of the fitness days. I usually can't take pics of the craft day b/c I'm helping her. But she's had a "duck day" where they did a craft of making a duck and then they went to feed the duckies. I think that has been her favorite so far. The next week they did their handprints. She just loved the paint. Then last week they did a shadowbox portrait. For the ones that don't know Jaelyn all that well, she can't sit still for very long and when she's done, she's done. I was holding her head as close to the paper, but of course Jaelyn wanted to look at every mark Mrs. Tabitha was making. She finally let us finish. I'm probably going to take a picture of Jaelyn and do the shadowbox that way. 3 year olds are a little too young, but it was cute!! This week they will be making bird feeders. Hopefully, I can put some pics up.

Playgroup and Enrichment Program

Jaelyn has been keeping busy with Playgroup from church which is once a week. The Enrichment Program at Twin Hills Park is 3 days a week, Tues., Wed., and Thurs. They do fitness activities 2 days and also a craft day. She has been learning so much and having a lot of fun!! I will post pictures each week of what she's been doing.

Cayson Gairy Todd

Cayson is going to be 6 months old on July 8, 2008. He is a lot like Jaelyn, believe it or not, so far!! Jaelyn was the best baby ever, but then Cayson came along. Cayson was sleeping all night at 2 weeks old. THEN.....he had to have surgery (pyloric stenosis). It was a very easy surgery and he did really good. His daddy had the same surgery when he was 3 weeks old. I think that's what got me through the whole ordeal. They had to wake him up during the night to feed him, and I thought the sleeping thing would go straight out the window. Well.....it did not. He went back just fine. He has done so many things so fast. He got 2 of his bottom teeth when he was 4 months and he started sitting up about 3 weeks ago. It's amazing. Now we're just wondering if he'll "scoot" like his sister did?!!! You never know. Cayson is a joy to have, and I am enjoying learning and growing with him.

Jaelyn Michelle Todd

Jaelyn is 3 years old and thinks she's 10. She is very I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T!!! If she can't do it by herself, she'll learn how. Her interests are playing her computer games, playing outside with her dog, Copper, going to the beach, playing with the horses, and anything else dealing with outside. Jaelyn is a real tomboy, like her momma. Although, she does love shoes and to shop. Crazy, I know. She is the only Sunbeam in church and is starting preschool in August. Jaelyn is a very loveable girl, and I'm so glad that I'm her mom!
