Teacher Work Day Fun

Since Jaelyn had the day off, Daddy decided to take half the day off also. We all went fishing at Duck Pond. The kids love going there because they always catch fish there. We even got Grandpa to tag along. We all had a lot of fun!

7th Special Forces Open House

We went to the Open House on October 14, 2011. Jason was off that day, and he wanted to take the kids to see all the festivities going on. We checked Jaelyn out of school. They got to look and go inside of a lot of different vehicles the military use. They also got to pretend to shoot guns. Their favorite part of all....eating in the Chow Hall! I know, it doesn't take much to entertain my kids:)

"Suessical the Musical"

Jaelyn and I went with her class to see "Suessical the Musical" at the Maddie Kelly Arts Center at NWFSC. It was a pretty cute musical. The kids enjoyed it a lot. After the musical, we went with the class and had a picnic. I'm glad I got to have this experience with her.

Corn Maze

On October 8, 2011, we went to the Corn Maze near Milton. We had a lot of fun. We went on the corn maze first. They gave us a clue sheet to get out of it, thank goodness. If we wouldn't have had it, the kids would have started running through the corn stalks to get out. They also had a bucket full of corn kernals. The kids jumped on in! Jaelyn got to shoot corn. She loved it....Cayson not so much. He decided to let Jaelyn have his turn. Then we all went on a hay ride that was pulled by a tractor. The kids rode a train made out of barrells that were painted like cows. They went "super fast"!! I thought Cayson was going to fly out, but he held on. They ended up playing on the playground for a little while before we left. We all loved going to the corn maze, and even decided we are going to go back soon.

Cayson loves being outside. He is outside almost all day long. This particular day is was playing in the front yard. He came running inside and told me he found a turtle. I did not realize he was holding the turtle. I asked him what we should do with him. He said he needed his momma. So we took the turtle back to the lake to find his momma.

Pajama and Pancake Day

Jaelyn had a pajama and pancake day at school on September 29, 2011. The kindergarten students were studying the letter P that week. The whole Primary Cluster got to be involved with this special day. All the students loved wearing their pajamas and slippers and eating pancakes. Here are some pictures....

The terrible, horrible, no good FLU!!!

Sunday morning I woke up hurting all over with the chills. I thought it was just because we left the windows open and I slept wrong. (I have an answer for everything.) Well I found out I was wrong when I checked my temperature and it was 101.7. Jason took care of me by getting me medicine even though I think he really just wanted to go get his flu shot. On Monday, he took me to the doctor and then took the kids to get their flu shot. It is now Tuesday. I'm feeling a little better, but still ache. Just wanted to update on blog why I haven't posted pictures of the weekend. Will be back soon.

Cayson 2011

Cayson turned 3 on January 8. He had a Diego birthday cake.

Cayson loved Big Kahunas this summer. He loved going down the slides. He was not big enough to go on the Honolulu Halfpipe (surfing ride). One day we were coming home, he reached up tall and grabbed the handle above the door and said, "Momma, look I'm big so NOW I can go surfing(8/20/11)." Maybe next year!

Jaelyn's first day of 1st Grade!!

The Todd Team is back!!! There are no excuses why I could not keep up with my blog.....except for going to school full time :) I am going to do it this time if it kills me, which may happen. Here is an update from the last almost 3 years. Crazy, I know.

Daddy Jason has been working Civil Service with Eglin Air Force Base at Duke Field since July 2009. He is a heavy equipment operator. He loves to go fishing and hunting when he can. He is playing softball at the moment. He plays 1st base or whereever they need him.

Mommy Vonda is taking a break from her hectic schedule last year. She started FSU Panama City (I know I did say FSU) in August 2010. I took 5 classes my first semester. It was rough because she was away from her kids on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week. The next semester started in January. She took 7 classes. She was able to come home on Wednesdays and go back on Thursday in the afternoon. She thought this was going to be her worst semester until she got to Summer Semester. She took 3 classes in "A" session and 3 classes in "B" session. There were 6 weeks in each session. Doesn't sound too bad, until you find out that you still have to do everything in 6 weeks that other people do in a regular semester. She finally finished and decided not to student teach in the fall. She needed a LONG break and to spend time with her family. She will student teach starting in January 2012. She is also playing softball with Daddy Jason. She plays catcher when she has too:)

Jaelyn Michelle is 6 years old now. She has finished her Kindergarten year and now recently started 1st Grade. She loves it. The very first day of school she told me that 1st grade is AWESOME!!! This past summer she played T-Ball and made the All-Star Team. That was a great experience for her. Jaelyn loves anything that deals with outside....riding her bike, playing on the playground, looking for tracks while hunting, fishing, football especially Gators. She also likes some girl stuff like jewelry and shoes. She takes after her granny for sure.

Cayson Gairy is 3 years old now. He is a sweet and loving little boy. Cayson has always been big and he has not changed. He is 40 lbs. His momma quit holding him a long time ago. Cayson loves to play outside also. His favorite thing is to be with his daddy or grandpa looking for deer tracks or fishing. Cayson loves to draw and color. His favorite character is Curious George. He learned how to play on the computer about 4 months ago. He loves to feel so big.
